Na Pua Noeau Ke Ola Mau Scholars Program

The below is reproduced from an email circulated by the Na Pua Noeau Ke Ola Mau Scholars Program:

The Na Pua Noeau Ke Ola Mau Scholars Program is now accepting
applications for the Fall 2014 semester. The Scholars Program supports
Native Hawaiian students attending either the University of Hawaii at
Hilo or the University of Hawaii at Manoa, who are currently majoring in
or intend to major in a healthcare field. Eligible students may receive
stipends to assist with community service or internships and/or research
projects in respective healthcare fields.

The Fall 2014 application is now available and can be downloaded from
the Na Pua Noeau website atnpn.uhh.hawaii.edu.

We are pleased to announce the Norman Meller Research Award competition for 201 ​4​ . If you or other faculty in your department have Pacific-focused students who completed MAs during the 201 ​3​ -201 ​4​ academic year, we hope you will pass the following announcement on to them. NORMANMELLERRESEARCHAWARD The NormanMellerResearchAwardof $250.00 is given annually to the best MA research paper produced at the University of Hawai'i in the social sciences or humanities and focused on the Pacific Islands. Plan A theses, Plan B papers, or MA portfolios are eligible. Submissions may be made by students or by nominations from the faculty, and are not limited to students in the MA program in Pacific Islands Studies.
